Recruiting Associate Editors of The International Journal of Intelligent Control and Systems (IJICS)
The International Journal of Intelligent Control and Systems (IJICS) is an international academic journal administrated by China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and sponsored by Chinese Association of Automation (CAA). It is dedicated to promoting interdisciplinary research and international academic exchange in the field of intelligent control and intelligent systems. The journal focuses on frontier directions such as intelligent control theory, intelligent system design, and the interdisciplinary integration of artificial intelligence and automation, aiming to provide a high-level academic publication platform for researchers in the global field of intelligent control and intelligent systems.
To strengthen the academic foundation of the journal and attract outstanding scholars to participate in manuscript review and solicitation, IJICS is now openly recruiting Associate Editors globally. We sincerely invite excellent scholars all over the world, who are deeply engaged in fields related to intelligent control and systems science, possess both academic strength and innovative vision, and are enthusiastic about the journal's development, to join us in building a world-class professional journal in the field of intelligent control and systems.
1. Recruitment Conditions
(1) Identify with the publishing philosophy and development vision of IJICS, be familiar with the journal's peer review process, actively conduct research in fields related to intelligent control and systems science, and have sufficient time and energy to contribute to the journal's development.
(2) Hold a doctoral degree; associate professors, associate researchers, and above are preferred, while lecturers and assistant researchers with solid academic foundations are also welcome to apply.
(3) Research direction matches the journal's scope, possess a high level of academic research capability, and have precise insight into the development frontiers and research hotspots of their own disciplines and the interdisciplinary fields of intelligent control and systems. Key recruitment directions include but are not limited to:
- Intelligent control theory and methods
- Intelligent system modeling, optimization, and decision-making
- Multi-agent systems and cooperative control
- Parallel intelligence, parallel control, and complex systems
- Interdisciplinary applications of artificial intelligence and automation
- Intelligent transportation, intelligent manufacturing, robotics, and unmanned systems
- Large models, embodied intelligence, and agent control
- Networked control systems, trustworthy intelligent systems, etc.
(4) Having published 3 or more papers as the first author or corresponding author in mainstream domestic and international journals in the past 5 years; those with rich experience in publishing high-level papers and review experience for journals in related fields are preferred.
(5) Scholars with a broad international perspective, overseas study, overseas work, or visiting scholar experience, or long-term close academic cooperation with international peers are preferred.
Special Note: As this journal is a new publication, the above criteria may be appropriately relaxed during the editorial board selection process, with priority given to academic activity and willingness to serve.
2. Responsibilities of Associate Editors
As an IJICS AE, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manuscript Review: Actively participate in the journal's peer review work, strictly follow international academic standards, and complete review tasks with high quality within the specified time. In principle, review 3–4 manuscripts for the journal each year, strictly controlling the academic quality of submissions.
- Manuscripts Solicitation: Proactively recommend or invite high-quality original manuscripts in the field of intelligent control and systems science from domestic and international sources. In principle, recommend, invite, or assist in organizing 2–3 high-quality manuscripts each year. Encourage initiating or planning hot-topic special issues, columns, or academic activities based on one's own research direction.
- Journal Promotion: Utilize various channels such as domestic and international academic conferences, exchanges with universities and research institutions to publicize and promote the journal, and participate in the journal's promotional reporting and content creation work upon invitation.
- Academic Activities Participation: Actively participate in various online and offline academic exchange activities organized by the journal, and apply to host or co-organize journal-related conferences or activities based on one's research strengths.
- Providing Suggestions: Offer constructive opinions for the journal's development based on one's own research experience and industry insights.
3. Rights of Associate Editors
(1) Issue an editorial board member certificate.
(2) Manuscripts submitted by editorial board members as first or corresponding authors will be given priority for review and, upon acceptance, priority for publication, facilitating the rapid dissemination of research results.
(3) Priority invitation to participate in various activities organized by the journal, such as editorial board meetings and academic conferences, enabling face-to-face exchanges with renowned experts in the field.
(4) Personal research achievements or team news can be promoted through journal homepage, new media platforms, and related conferences.
4. Application Method
This recruitment adopts a self-registration method. Applicants must prepare application materials as required, ensure the materials are truthful, complete, and standardized, and submit all materials in PDF format:

(b) Suggestions for Journal Development (optional): Specific ideas, suggestions, or planning proposals for IJICS's manuscript solicitation, academic activities, international promotion, etc.
(2) Submission Method
(a) Please package the application materials and send them to the editorial office: ijics@caa.org.cn.
(b) The email subject and material compressed package should be named "IJICS AE Application + Name + Affiliation".

Result Notification: The editorial office will conduct an initial screening of the application materials, and after review by the editorial board, the recruitment results will be notified via email.
